I am a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and I have been in Recovery for over 10 years. After I got sober, I left my Social Service career of over 20 years and obtained my License in Alcohol and Drug Counseling so I could dedicate my time to helping others in recovery.
I will never forget the counselors that helped me, believed in me when no one else did, and stood by me, sometimes holding me up, until I could stand on my own two feet again. I am here now, as the counselor, offering the same thing to clients that need someone in their corner. I have been there, I understand, and now I am here to give back to help others, and to help you!
I have gone into Private Practice because I like working one-on-one with clients. I want to help you work on the things that mean the most to you, not what anyone else thinks or says you need to work on.
My Recovery Counseling Services are “Person Centered” – Centered on You!! – and on What You Want and Need, When You Want And Need It!
Does what we talk about in therapy remain confidential?
I take Confidentiality very, very seriously!! It is one of the most important aspects of our relationship! Successful progress requires a high degree of trust, with highly sensitive information. I will not discuss or disclose anything that we discuss without your Informed Consent and without a Written and Signed Release of Information.
I do not use a shared Electronic Health Record system with any other company, agency or health care facility. I maintain private files specifically for the purpose of maintaining the highest level of confidentiality possible. No one will ever know that you are/have been my client unless you tell them, or you request that I share information with someone verbally or in writing by completing and signing a Release of Information. You decide who knows what, why and when.
